Art Commission Terms of Service
Furry LLC
Effective: October 21, 2026
1. General & Pricing
These Terms of Service apply to artwork commissions sold by Furry LLC, a Washington limited liability company, and created by the artist responsible for your commission (“the artist”).
Furry LLC is the seller and payment recipient. The artist may provide these terms and communicate with you about your commission on our behalf.
By accepting a commission quote that includes or links to these terms, you agree to them.
Listed prices are estimates and may vary depending on complexity, additional characters, backgrounds, and other requirements. The final price and scope of work will be confirmed before work begins. Furry LLC and the artist may decline commission requests.
2. Payment
A preliminary sketch will be provided for review. Full payment is required after sketch approval and before further work proceeds, unless different payment terms are agreed in writing.
All commission and licensing payments must be made to Furry LLC, using the payment instructions we provide.
Changes or additions outside the agreed scope may require additional payment. Any additional charges must be approved by you before the additional work begins.
3. Progress & Revisions
Work-in-progress previews may be provided during the commission process.
Revisions are accepted during the sketch and coloring stages. Significant changes to the original request may require additional payment, subject to your approval. Changes requested after these stages are not guaranteed.
4. Completion & Delivery
Completion times depend on the commission’s complexity and the artist’s availability. Delivery estimates are approximate unless a specific deadline is expressly agreed in writing.
Completed artwork will be delivered digitally in the agreed format. Any particular file-format requirements or deadlines should be agreed before work begins.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
Payments are generally nonrefundable for a change of mind after sketch approval.
If Furry LLC cancels or cannot complete the agreed commission, we will refund your payment unless you agree to accept completed work with a partial refund.
Nothing in these terms limits any refund, dispute, or other consumer rights provided by applicable law.
6. Copyright & Usage Rights
Unless different usage terms are expressly agreed with you in writing under Section 8, you may use the delivered artwork for any lawful personal or commercial purpose after full payment and delivery.
Furry LLC grants you a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, nonexclusive license, including the right to copy, modify, create derivative works from, publish, display, distribute, and sell copies of the artwork. You may use it in merchandise, advertising, branding, and other commercial projects, and you may sublicense these rights to others.
These usage rights are included in the agreed commission price. No additional permission, commercial-license fee, recurring licensing fee, or royalty is required under the standard license.
Furry LLC owns the transferable copyright in original artwork created and delivered for its commissions. Purchasing a commission does not transfer copyright or give you exclusive rights.
Pre-existing works and third-party materials remain subject to their respective owners’ rights. Your license covers only rights Furry LLC owns or is authorized to license.
Your granted license continues according to its terms even if the artist stops working with Furry LLC, a dispute arises between Furry LLC and the artist, or Furry LLC transfers its copyright.
7. Portfolio Use & Privacy
Furry LLC and the artist may display completed artwork in portfolios, on websites, on social media, and in promotional materials.
The artist also retains nonexclusive rights to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell copies of, and license the artwork, subject to applicable law, third-party rights, and restrictions the artist separately accepts.
Any confidentiality or publication restrictions must be expressly accepted in writing by both Furry LLC and the artist before work begins.
8. Commission-Specific Terms & Contact
Commission-specific terms expressly agreed with you in writing take priority over these general terms where they conflict. Written agreement may be documented through email or messages.
For a particular commission, the artist may agree with you to grant, limit, or exclude commercial use, or to apply a different one-time licensing price. Any such exception must be expressly agreed with you; otherwise, the standard license in Section 6 applies. No recurring licensing fees or usage-based royalties apply.
Rights already granted cannot be narrowed or made subject to new fees without your agreement.
Updates. The terms in effect when you accept your commission quote apply to that commission. We may update these terms for future commissions. Updates do not change existing orders or previously granted rights without your agreement.
